This week, TSP received a very generous match gift from a TSP donor who was inspired by the organizing our community has done to support all our citizens and SEED-MN's work in Minnesota. That contribution has enabled TSP to raise the Winter Match cap for MN to $94,000! The match will continue through March 20th or until we reach the full $94,000 across all MN Giving Circles.

Why Should I Donate to The States Project (SEED-MN) Rather Than the DFL?
The States Project (TSP) does an in-depth analysis of candidates up for election to determine who has the best chance of winning. The analysts and statisticians at The States Project have expertise and tools we can only dream about. On the basis of their analysis, seven house and one senate seats have been chosen for focus in the Minnesota 2024 election. In 2022, of the seven senate seats identified by TSP, we won six of them creating the Minnesota trifecta and then the Minnesota Miracle legislative session. TSP has this kind of track record across the nation.
So what? Well the frosting on the cake is this:
ALL money you donate to SEED-MN is dedicated to supporting election of these 8 candidates. TSP political operatives and analysts meet weekly OR MORE OFTEN with DFL leadership (this year with the DFL HOUSE CAUCUS) to help guide and influence how to spend TSP donated money. Sometimes it is in the form of hiring top notch staff to work for candidates, sometimes it goes into Independent Expenditures* for the candidates.
Campaign finance laws dictate that *Independent Expenditure money must be spent WITHOUT coordinating directly with the candidates. In other words, TSP cannot go to the candidate and ask what they need but can independently create digital ads, billboards, and TV ad buys for the candidates.
Your money will not be spread around the state for DFL candidates who may not be able to win because perhaps they live in VERY RED districts. The DFL must support all their candidates which we understand and support. But money from TSP is used with pinpoint precision on candidates who can win.
